The National Land College (STPN) is one of the oldest official schools in Indonesia which is under the auspices of the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (BPN).
However, STPN graduates are not automatically accepted as Candidates for Civil Servants (CPNS) or Government Employees with a Work Agreement (PPPK). Applicants are asked to sign a statement that they will not demand to be appointed as CPNS if they have completed their education.
This campus was founded in 1963 under the name Agrarian Academy as a land education institution. The origins of the STPN official school cannot be separated from the birth of the Basic Agrarian Law (UUPA) in 1960.
The Agrarian Academy was founded with an agrarian department in Yogyakarta. Then, in 1964, a land registration department was added in Semarang. In 1983, the Agrarian Academy in Semarang and the Agrarian Academy in Yogyakarta were merged and named the Agrarian Academy with headquarters in Yogyakarta.
This academy has four departments, namely: land registration department, land use department, land rights department, and land reform department.
In 1987, several departments were abolished and the Agrarian Academy changed its name to the National Land Academy. Then, in 1993, the National Land Academy changed its name to STPN.
